Community Guidelines

Effective date: 30 October 2026 · Last revised: 21 October 2026

Find your voice. Respect every voice.

SpeakOS is a community for people who want to become better communicators. Confidence grows through practice, thoughtful feedback and meaningful interaction. These Guidelines explain what we encourage, what we prohibit and how we handle reports or violations. They apply alongside the Terms of Service.

1. Our principles

  • Respect: Everyone deserves to participate without intimidation, harassment or discrimination.
  • Authenticity: Represent yourself and your work truthfully.
  • Growth: Make feedback useful, specific and constructive.
  • Inclusion: Respect different accents, languages, cultures, abilities and communication styles.
  • Responsibility: Consider the consequences of what you publish or share.

2. Positive participation

We welcome practical communication experiences, thoughtful questions, helpful resources, constructive feedback, professional insights, discussion and practice-circle participation. Celebrate progress, especially small improvements. You do not need to be an expert to contribute.

3. Respect differences in speaking styles

SpeakOS does not endorse ridicule based on accent, first language, disability, speaking pace, cultural background or unfamiliarity with professional terminology. Critique ideas and communication choices constructively, rather than humiliating people. The purpose is not to make everyone sound identical.

4. Be authentic

Do not impersonate others, invent professional credentials, publish false testimonials, misrepresent your achievements or pass off another person’s work as your own. Clearly label parody or AI-generated content when needed to prevent material deception.

5. Disagree constructively

Disagreement is part of learning. Address claims and arguments, not personal characteristics. Threats, harassment, targeted abuse, hate speech and intimidation are not permitted. Criticism is not prohibited merely because it is challenging or unpopular, provided it complies with these Guidelines and applicable law.

6. Respect privacy

Do not publish another person’s private contact details, confidential professional information, private messages, photographs, recordings or sensitive information without appropriate permission. Respect confidentiality in private groups and exercises. Never use the platform to expose, stalk or intimidate someone.

7. Share lawful, original content

Only upload content you have rights to publish. Do not plagiarise, distribute copyrighted material without authorisation or knowingly circulate materially misleading material. Cite or credit others where appropriate, and distinguish personal views from verified claims when the difference matters.

8. Responsible AI use

AI can help users learn and practise, but it must not be used to impersonate real people deceptively, fabricate evidence, mislead employers, run scams or manipulate other members. Where AI-generated material could materially mislead an audience, disclose its nature appropriately.

9. Career and recruitment integrity

Do not post fake jobs, charge unlawful recruitment fees, impersonate hiring organisations or exploit applicants. Verify opportunities before sharing and refrain from requesting sensitive personal data through informal channels. Suspicious recruitment content may be removed.

10. Advertising and spam

Do not flood discussions with repeated promotions, unsolicited messages, affiliate spam, misleading financial offers or unauthorised mass outreach. Relevant professional resources may be shared in appropriate settings. SpeakOS may publish additional rules for sponsored content and business promotions.

11. Reporting problems

Report suspected violations using the platform’s reporting feature where available, or email support@speakos.org. Provide a link, screenshot or explanation sufficient to identify the issue. Reports should be made in good faith. Knowingly false or malicious reporting is prohibited.

12. Moderation and enforcement

SpeakOS may review reported content and take action proportionate to the seriousness, context and frequency of a violation. Actions may include guidance, warnings, removal or restriction of content, suspension of features, temporary account suspension or account termination. We may refer matters to authorities where legally required or appropriate.

13. Appeals

If you believe moderation was mistaken, write to support@speakos.org with the account and decision details. We will review eligible appeals consistently with applicable law and platform policy. A good-faith appeal will not itself be treated as misconduct.

14. Helping our community grow

Share what you learn. Ask useful questions. Respect people who are still developing confidence. Celebrate progress. Strong communication should create opportunities for others, not come at the expense of their dignity.
